This introductory course familiarizes students with issues in operations management that
affect quality control. Students select product materials for large-scale production and
become familiar with creating processes that allow managers to oversee efficient mass
production of goods. Operations management courses are usually taken early in a degree
program.
Production Planning and Control
Students taking a production planning and control course create systems for monitoring that a
production line is creating high-quality products at a high rate. They learn how to plan,
schedule and control lines to examine product construction and completion. Common topics
include resource planning, supply chain management and operations planning. Usually, this
